Feeding people is what we do! Therefore it almost goes without saying that over the past few decades 1,000s of pounds of potatoes have been donated to foodbanks in Norther California and Southern Oregon.
Over time as the company has grown, we are fortunate enough that our ability to expand our contributions has increased as well. Some of our annual activities include;

Gold Dust and Walker Farms
As what started as a small family-run business, giving back to the community that raised us was important then and has remained part of who we are today. Gold Dust & Walker Farms has remained a strong supporter of 4H and FFA (Future Farmers of America) where we believe our future is taught responsibility, entrepreneurial knowledge, teamwork, and so many other important skills.

During Harvest we always make time to partake in the Potato Festival in Merrill, OR. We are known for our booth along Main Street serving up Hot Cocoa and potato chips. When able we also enter the parade with a company float.
Around the Holidays, we hold another favorite, our toy drive for Toys for tots! Every year Gold Dust & Walker farms collects unwrapped toys and cash donations for this worthy cause. Best of all, we match toy for toy and dollar for dollar everything that is donated to during our drive.
We also make sure to support the Assistant League and Soroptimist Club, Youth athletics of all ages and sports, our local Firefighters and many more.

In 2010, the Klamath Falls Ag Expo held an awards banquet to recognize area farms and ranches for their hard work and raising the prestige of Basin ag.

Mid-Summer we host an Open House with Fundraising for Make a Wish. This has turned into our biggest fundraising event that includes a Golf event and auction. Our customers and vendors come from all over the world to join staff for a fun-filled day for an excellent cause!
